Fresh Take - Moon Knight Ep 3 - The Friendly Type Spoiler Free Thoughts

 Available on Disney +

The Episode

This episode picks up right where the previous episode left off. Marc has now taken control of the body and is trying to find Harrow to stop him from finding the Tomb of Amet. The really cool thing about this episode is that this time around we see Marc blacking out much like Steven was in the first episode. Marc confronts Steven about this in the episode to which that persona says it's not him doing that, I guess we're getting a third personality this season. As far as the rest of the episode is concerned, Ethan Hawke is doing a great job with his adaptation of Harrow. Sometimes it gets creepy with him like you know something is off about this guy but you just don't know what. They also address something that I am personally glad that they are talking about regarding the MCU as a whole. That is why the gods do not intervene when things happen. It was going to come up at some point, and I am glad they at least addressed it in their own way. There are a couple of cool action sequences in the episode and I like how they are making Stevens's version of the armor different from Marc's so that it's easier to tell who is in control. The story keeps dropping hints about what happened to Marc when he got in bed with Khonshu so I'm expecting that to come to a head, hopefully, sooner rather than later.

There's nothing that I didn't like about the episode. Once again, like last week I thought the episode flowed well and introduced some new characters and concepts. They also name-dropped Madripoor and had a couple Easter Eggs in there for fans.

For Parents

The episode has a fifty-three-minute runtime like last week. Personally, I thought that the episode flowed really well. I didn't feel the time at all. There are a few action sequences but as in the first episode, the first couple happens in that blackout state. The climactic one was shown and that one wasn't as violent as I thought it was going to be honestly.

Overall

I thought it was another fantastic episode. I am really looking forward to seeing what the fallout will be and if we will actually see the third personality show up. Please leave a comment and let me know what you thought about the episode.
